Lian Li Released the ASUS ROG PC-Q17 Mini-ITX Case

Lian Li has just released the PC-Q17, which is a mini-ITX tower-type case. What is interesting about it is that it ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) co-branded. It was specifically designed to go well with ASUS’s ROG Maximus Impact line of mini-ITX motherboards. There is a large light-up ROG logo on the PSU / drive cage.

The case matches both the design and quality we expect from Lian Li with the same ROG styling we love from ASUS. The case has a brushed aluminum sloped front and a large acrylic side panel window. This case has a rather interesting drive-bay arrangement. The front bay is arranged along the front panel, opening up at the top. This can be used for a slimline optical drive, 3.5-inch hard drive, or a 2.5-inch hard drive.

Normally we would see a hard drive arrangement towards the front of the case, but this is actually where your power supply will be mounted. This case supports normal ATX power supplies and has an extension cable so you can still connect power to the back of the case. You can mount two 2.5-inch hard drives on the back of the PSU bay and there are three more hard drive mounts on the bottom of the case.

The motherboard tray does have a large cutout behind it so you can install aftermarket CPU coolers with ease. The case has two expansion slots with clearance for 27cm graphics cards, CPU coolers as tall as 14cm and PSUs as long as 15cm. There are also two USB 3.0 ports on the front of the case. The case weighs in at 2.7 kg and has official dimensions of 201 mm x 407 mm x 276 mm (WxDxH). No word yet on pricing or availability.
